Curate is an independent provider of specialist and secure psychiatric services. We specialise in the rehabilitation and treatment of patients with a primary diagnosis of an enduring mental illness and people who have complex mental health needs. Our patient profile includes both men and women over the age of 18 years with a primary diagnosis of a mental health problem and / or complex secondary healthcare problem. Many patients in our facilities are detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).

Advocacy forms an integral part of Curates “needs led” care planning and delivery and we work closely with independent mental health advocacy services.

We provide high levels of quality care and treatment supported by Evidence Based Practice. This includes a complete assessment of the needs of each individual in order to develop treatment programmes that encompass a patient’s biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs within a measurable framework.
