Meadow View

Meadow View is a purpose built low secure hospital that was opened in 2008. The building itself sits in ten acres of peaceful countryside and has been designed to comply and exceed the Department of Health Low Secure and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) standards, including recent amendments.

The hospital offers spacious single gender (male) accommodation, with all bedrooms situated across four dedicated seven-bed units on the ground floor. The large communal areas have been designed to offer opportunity for both patient interaction and peaceful reflection. This carefully designed living space contributes to an organised and efficient environment, aiding the sense of structure and routine.

A high emphasis is placed on supporting patients at Meadow View towards living more independently, so they have access to a range of resources including the on-site allotment, music and recreation room, IT and education room, shop and therapy kitchen.

Regular physical exercise is a key aspect of all rehabilitation programmes and patients at Meadow View benefit from access to a fully equipped gymnasium as well as a range of outdoor areas suitable for recreational activities, including the extensive gardens surrounding the hospital.

The spiritual and faith needs of our patients are fully respected across all religious denominations and open access is provided to the dedicated multi-faith room.
